Marbara's Story
High school seems like so long ago! I have recently connected with a few former teachers - Mr. Whitworth, Linnie Maggard, Ellen Orr and Ms. Clay.
After high school I majored in music and library science at Campbellsville College. I got my Master's in Elementary Ed. and spent 11 years teaching elementary school in Bullitt Co. and Highview Baptist School (now Whitefield). I married and had two children that we homeschooled through high school with the help of Dorothy Sayers Classical School. rmine and 1 semester at the Chinese Univ. of Hong Kong) majoring in economics and our daughter is an English and Business major with a minor in Spanish at Campbellsville. In 1991 I became the volunteer director of our church library and in 2004 I opened the bookstore here as well. I think I had always wanted to run a store and I enjoy it very much. I don't have as much time to garden as I would like but we have enjoyed renovating our 1915 farmhouse in the Buechel area. If we aren't watching foreign classic films, I am usually reading or trying out a new recipe!
