Marc's Story
Bounced around with jobs, school & women for 12 years (real estate development, theatre, zoology, computers, numerous flings / 2 engagements). Made some $, lost it all & went into debt, paid it off. Settled into software development in 1988, a wife in 1996, and a son in 2000. After work burnout 08-09, I am taking a stint as a domestic engineer (beginning Aug 2009). Need to spend less now but worth it.
UMass Amherst was party mania, esp as I lived in what turned out to be the druggie dorm. Living there plus a delivery job at whole wheat pizza (opens at 10 pm, closes whenever people stop ordering) m...Expand for more
ade for some "rich experiences".
After school I lived in pretty much every neighborhood in Boston except Dorchester. Never crossed the river though. Always wanted to move to the mountains, as did my wife. Unfortunately she wants to go to the Alps (she's from Germany) but I wanted the Rockies. So we stayed in the middle for a while (near Boston) and now we're more stuck (friends, school, etc).
I'm a ski addict, wife is a dance addict. If the answers to the litmus tests (do you dance? do you ski?) were wrong there would have been no 2nd date I think. Thank goodness there was - having a great life!!
