Marcia's Story
Life
I married at 24; divorced at 45. One son (Zachary) who will be 20 in January. I moved to North Carolina at the age of 30 and became "Southernized." I love it! The family moved to Texas when Zach was 18 months; later we moved to Colorado where I finally filed for divorce. After the divorce I returned to Texas and completed my Master's degree in Educational Technology at Texas A&M University, then entered a doctoral program in Educational Psychology. I work for Urban Search & Rescue, the folks who manage Texas Task Force 1. Our mission is both training and response. Response is on the state and national level. I'm the instructional design specialist for the division, and am responsible for guiding the development of the training curriculum. Frankly, I get to do some really, really cool stuff with great people!! :-)
