Marcie's Story
Life
Hello everyone,
Well, I 'm happily married to a wonderful guy.
My life sure has been different since leaving high school. I spent part of my life in college, then to work.
While at college, I met Ben, my hubby. We stayed friends for over 13 years years and on his birthday in 2006, we were married in a small ceremony with a few family and friends. During those 13 years of knowing each other, and just having a blast. If I hadn't had Ben and a few of my other friends, I would never have gotten through the rough patches.
I left California for the northwest and it's wacky weather. Mainly due to the fact that my family moved here a couple of years before me. The first year and a half here where basically getting back on my feet years. One marriage and divorce was enough or so I thought until Ben asked to date me.
Describing Ben is not easy, but I will try. He is 6'3", and for those that remember me, I'm 4'10". A little heavy, but then again, aren't we all. He is basically my polar opposite when it comes to looks, but he is all heart. We still have some of the same things in common, we both love to read books and a love of...Expand for more
video games. I love to sing, and he doesn't sing well, but hey not a problem. Of course I have not sung in a choir since california in a Baptist church. We listen to almost the same kind of music all the time and we watch movies from time to time. We tend to go to the movies at least once a month.
We both work full time, like most people. My commute is about 2 hours one way. This is counting all my awake time. We have about 3 hours in the evening together before he goes to wrk and the weekends. Lately we have been working on the yard and house during our off times. I currently work days at Holland America. But Ben has been with the post office for about 8 or so years and is a E. T. I am very proud of him. Lately he was able to transfer to a different facilility and he likes it. And there is the possiblity that we will move again. Not really looking forward to that.
I currently share my home with my huband and mother-in-law, which I find tight at times, but enjoyable. She helps out during the week with meals and Ben and I take over on the weekends. Plus I don't have to worry about gardening yet, although I help when I can.
