Life
I have recently taken up an engrossing new hobby. Despite its unfortuate reputation as the fringe activity of loney, bizarre individuals, train spotting has actually captured the fancy of such mainstream luminaries as Richard Gere, Pee Wee Herman, Kofi Annan, Hugh Grant, and Michael Jordan - all of whom spend hour upon hour with their senses tensed in anticipation of an approaching train brandishing those rare features that, when properly identified, can catapult their lucky spotter to the status of a legend. ant echo of a classical Darlington locomotive, I am busy making models of Industrial Revolution-era city scapes that throb with the mechanical excitement of period trains.
To maintain equilibrium in my life, I devote at least an hour a day "Sweating to the oldies" under the tutelage of my dear friend and fitness mentor, Richard Simmons. Sporting the striped shorts that only Richard and the Harlem Globetrotters have the courage to wear in public, I push my cardio-vascular system to its limits to the strains of "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone".
