Marcus's Story
Life
A lot has happened in the last few years. The most important is my better half, Kerry. Our son is 12 weeks old. So that makes 4 children in our household-love them all-each has a different spirit. Life can be a struggle but I've never been happier. Having the right person standing next to you makes all the difference in the world. I'm still down with my all my folks from 1st and 3rd and 7th grade from FDR and Fernando...you know who you are. Please respect my better half if ya send a message:

Things I've learned: 1) Family is everything. 2) Material things are soon forgotten. 3) Its always good to have friends. 4) Life is fragile. 5) Don't burn your bridges.

School
The teacher that most inspired me was Mr. Matt Mahar. He was a student teacher in...Expand for more
Mr. Goldbergs class. I learned about greed and politics from him. I've met a lot of people since then and they confirmed everything that I learned from him in that class. If anyone has shaped my world view it would be him. I've had the opportunity to see the people he spoke of in person and watch their power base grow. I'm amazed at how ignorant people can be. The other was Mr. Fredricks (in a very negative way). Mr. Fredricks represented to me the most dangerous type of individual there is.
If I had it to do all over again I don't think I would have changed much. I think I would have taken Accounting classes though. That would have come in handy. I knew I wasn't going to stay in California so I really didn't get that close to a lot of people outside of my crew.
