Marcus's Story
After earning a BA in PR, I spent two months hopping on and off trains in about 10 countries throughout Europe. Needing to pay for this trip, I took a teaching job in Japan where I met my wife, Yuko. I brought her back to the states after 2 years abroad and lived in the US from 2001 to 2008. During that time, I was a college recruiter in the UT system and a project coordinator for SAEP (managing scholarships, events, lots of public speaking including motivational presentations, producing an annual special on PBS, creating publications, graphic design, database management, other duties as assigned....).

ed an MA TESL. My daughter was born in 2005.
In 2008, I was offered a high school teaching position in Japan and moved back across the giant pond. In 2015, I took a job as a Designated Associate Professor at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture. Absolutely loved that job. Paradise. None the less, I left in 2018 to teach high school again. Crazy work load, but better benefits for my family. We do what we need to do. Right?
I am not on Facebook right now. Quit just before the 2020 election cycle not wanting to get swept up in the insanity. No plans to return. Really enjoy the peace of mind. I am on LinkedIn though.
