This is where it first started, While I was a sophomore, I worked part time at Paxton's, here in Boron. I wonder how many of u oldsters remember that one. I worked there till my senior year when I went to the dr, he put me in the hospital for 3 months. They thought I had Leukemia, but instead, it was 'MONONEUCLEOUSIS', or what others usually call, Valley Fever. There is no cure for it. But anyway, when I graduated, I had a job at 4 Corners, I worked there, then we (my sister, her husband, my parents, my boyfriends brother and his wife) went to Las Vegas. At 11pm, I got married to Gene O'Connor. This was the 2nd of June, 61. In August that same yr, I fly to Hawaii to be with my husband. He was in the AF at the time, we were stationed at Hickam AFB. Very nice, my daughter, Kathy was born, Nov.29, 1962, she was a beautiful baby. 16 months later my daughter, Patricia was born, then we were sent to Florida, he worked on the missle syst...Expand for more
ems. About 2 yrs later, he volunteers for Vietnam. When he leaves, I go to my parents house. Seven months after he left, my daughter, Bridget Ann was born. When he came home she was 5 months old, she didn't know him and didn't want him any where around. We were then sent to McClellan AFB in Norhtern Sacramento. For 3 yrs. When we divorced, and I came back to mom and dads, I had my 4th daughter, Lori. I was single till Lori was 4 yrs old. I married a man 30yrs older than me, we had a Square Dance Wedding in California City. Boy was that fun. I moved to Cherryhill, he owned a home there. He also was a pilot, and had his own plane. He worked as a Lab Tech and a x-ray Tech at the little Boron Citizens Hospital. I had a job there at the same time, in the Emergency Room, and Surgery. I loved the idea working in the medical field. At the same time, I rode ambulance with the DRA( Desert Racing Association). I'll tell more l;ater, I'm tired.
