Margaret's Story
Life
I've been living in Gales Ferry, Connecticut for the past 20 years. Before then I lived in Maryland, where my family moved in 1974, one year before I graduated from LHS. I ended up graduating from Einstein High School in Kensington, Maryland. Though I missed my Lexington home, school and friends, I liked my new school and it didn't take long for me to make friends in Maryland. I went to Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland and got a useless AA degree in Broadcasting. I had a long series of dead end office jobs for about 20 years....
Fast forward to present day. Back in New England (I really missed New England).
I was married late in life, in December of 2000. I met my husband at a Jim Croce Fan Gathering in Philadelphia in 1998. My husband, Ron Gletherow, is from London, England. We were married in England and he immigrated to the U.S. where we settled down in Connecticut. Ron is a singer/songw...Expand for more
riter. If you "Google" him you'll find a lot of information on his music. I also play guitar with him on stage now and then (there are some videos on YouTube of us as "Maggie's Guitar", as well as on Ron's own website). Recently we have done several Jim Croce Tribute shows. I play 2nd guitar, next to Ron. I also run my own petsitting business, Meg's Petsitting. I've always had a passion for animals and music, and now I'm getting to make a living using both passions. How lucky is that?
I've never had kids, just cats. They are my "kids" though. I'd had many kitties, over the years. As of Oct. 2014, my "kids" are Paul and Hunny, as well as a few strays that we feed.
Thanks to Ron, I've had the chance to do a lot of traveling, and have been to England, Scotland, Paris and Greece in the past 14 years. Before that, my "big" trips were to New Jersey... So I've come a long way, you could say.
That about sums it up!
