Margaret's Story
I grew up in Bridge City, Texas and went to vocational nursing school at Lamar Univ in Beaumont, Texas. After graduating in 1975; I worked different nursing jobs until starting to work for the military at Fort Polk, La in May of 85. Then I moved and have lived here on Whidbey Island since 92 working first in the medical clinic. I ended up working and retired on the very same day I started working 30 years at Fort Polk. ot married in June 2009. All four of my children are grown and out of the house but my husband has two children.I do have 4 grandchildren but only 3 live close by. My husband is retired from the aviation part of the Navy and is working as a LPN now. He and I went to Bridge City so he could meet family and see where I was from. He loves it and the family loves him so there is a chance of moving back there when he retires but you never know what the future holds.
