Margaret's Story
Life
What a good way to start. When I was in high school, I had all kind of dreams and aspirations I wanted to accomplish before I turned 35.
After high school, I went to several different colleges trying to find my place in life. To this date I am still in the process of completion.
Anyway, life has a way of placing you in a direction not yet charted.
I was married during this time to a wonderful man. We met in Florida on a cruise to the Bahamas. This was my first time cruising. Things progressed and we got married in 1982.
Soon the children arrived and family life was blooming with all the joys and pains life brings. I have a daughter now 25 and a son 24.
My plans were also put on hold when I became a kidney dialysis patient. This shook my world tremendously. Not only did I have children to care for, but I also had an...Expand for more
illness to learn about to be an active participate. I am so glad to know there is a God. He brought me through.
Three years ago, I received a kidney transplant. What a mighty God we serve!! I am blessed. This took my life in another direction well worth the transition.
I have two amazing grandsons. My daughter and son each have one child. They were born 5 months apart. I thought I would not live to see this day my children grow up, let alone to see any grandchildren being born.
I am active in educating our people about organ donation. Many of our people are waiting for organs that are in short supply. Remember, they will not be any use to you when you are gone, leave them for someone who can use them.
I love the Lord with all my heart and attribute all my accomplishments to Him who strengthens me and keeps me encouraged.
