Margaret's Story
Life
After ORHS, I started at FSU, stopped when I married and had two kids, went back to FSC in Lakeland, divorced, started teaching in Orange County, married again and had another child, divorced again. I vowed to not marry again after two mistakes - then I met Eddie Truelove!! So here I am, married to Eddie since 1988, mother of 3, grandmother of 2, and just retired from teaching (after 30 years on the job) in summer 2003. I look forward to hearing from old friends thanks to classmates.com.
School
The years from 1960-1964 at Oak Ridge High School were terrific! We were the first class to go all the way through. We were able to choose the school colors and the mascot at the beginning. (We were the "Pioneers" because the Boone and Edgewater snobs said we were the "hicks from the sticks".) I have very fond memories of my high school years a...Expand for more

College
My college years were "bumpy". I started at FSU right after high school. I must add that football fever ran high in the fall of 1964 at FSU; it was the first time FSU was nationally ranked. I caught the fever and am still a staunch FSU fan, even though I didn't graduate from there. Anyway, I married during my freshman year and became pregnant two months after the wedding. Three years later, after two babies, I went back to college at Florida Southern College. It wasn't your typical college experience. I didn't live on campus. I had a house, a husband, and two kids to take care of. I worked hard during the three years at FSC, but I didn't have time for the social side of school. I did finally graduate in 1971.
