Marge's Story
Life
You knew me as Marguerite Emrich in high school. If lived in Carol Stream on Mohawk Dr In high school I was just an average person but now I am known as Marge Smith the Avon lady. I was also in the band all four years of high school.
After graduation I went to COD for a year and dropped out and worked full time for Chicago Title Insurance Co. . I met my husband in 1973 and I married him in 1975 and have been married to him for more than 40 years now. His name is Jim Smith and he is orignially from Berwyn and moved to Wood Dale in 1963.
We have two grown children ... Brian & Jennifer. I am a grandmother of 3, Logan 12, Lexi 9 & Jimmy 3.. My son Brian is engaged to be married to Shannon in Sept 2017 and has worked for UPS for more than 20 years. My daughter Jennifer has been married for 15 years now and is a mother of t...Expand for more
wo ... she is one of the lucky mom who can stay home to take care of her children. Jennifer is a homemaker, wife & general duty person and she loves it.
I work from home as a Avon Rep for the past 25 yrs. now. In the past I worked full time as an Accounts Payable & Receivable clerk until 1999. In 1999 I was laid off and I decided to find a part time job rather than full time so that I could concentrate on my Avon business. In 2002 I decided to not work part time & do my Avon business. I have been doing Avon full time since 2002 and I enjoy this very much.
