Marguerite's Story
Life
Life has been filled with so many blessings! Ken and I have been married for 20 years!!! We have four sons who presently range from the age 19 to 9. We are in the process of adopting a girl form Vietnam. This has been a long journey, but in the end it will all be worth it. We live in my childhood home which provides such a sense of comfort for me because of all the happy memories.
I am currently teaching. I have a MEd in Literacy and Special Ed. My post graduate work has been in administration. I am certified to be a building administrator as well as a school district administrator. My goal has been to earn my doctorate in education. I am at that point where I can apply to a program, but the adoption is my priority at this time.
My husband and I have lived in GA, VA, and have returned to NY about9 yrs ago. He was in the Navy therefore were havemoved quite a bit. That is why it is wonderful to be in the home that I grew up in. It gives me such a sense of security and familiara...Expand for more
rity.Plus, it is great to see my children go tothe same schools that I did and become friends with the children of my schoolmates!
I still read a lot of books. I still go to church. I play softball with a Christian womens league. It is sad to admitt, I am the second oldest player on the team!!!!!BUT I am FAST. We play for fun and fellowship. I also have sung in the choir and have sung solo!!! Me of all people! Being a HS youthgroup leader at my church provided me an opprtunity to really check out the teen scene. We had it so easy way back in the late 70's and early 80,s.
My parents and all my siblings, except for Priscilla, live outside Atlanta. They love it there. My parents even live across the street to one of my former students. Isn't that wild??? Usually it the case of..it being one my Dad's former students that I run into. Now he runs into mine! Yeeeks.
That's about it, this is just brief overview of me. I Thank God that I have been given so many blessings over the years.
