Mari's Story
Life
Pat and I got married in Alaska while he was stationed at Ft. Richardson, and I was working in Anchorage at the District Attorney's Office. We moved from Alaska to Texas to Oregon to Illinois to Montana to Wyoming to Indiana to Washington to California to Lacey, Washington, where we have lived now since 1994. We have two children, Kelsey, 23 and Nathan, 14.
Five years ago we went to Germany for a three week vacation to visit three German exchange students we have hosted through the years. We've also hosted students from France, Equador, Taiwan, Columbia, Belgium, Japan, Korea and China.

ided to be home with my kids, so I've worked part time since Kelsey was born in 1988.
We went back to Alaska for the 10th and 20th year reunions. We celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2009 and took a trip back to Alaska in 2010.
Some of my siblings are also living in Washington state, including Helen (University Place), Mark (Kent), Joanie (Spokane), Melody (Goldendale) and Michelle (Cle Elum), Don lives in Redding, CA, Becky lives in Oregon, and our eldest brother, Brian, was killed in June 2011 in Texas. Our family home still sits in Chugiak, off Birchwood Loop, and they actually named the street that goes by it Blair Rd. Our hearts are always home in Alaska, no matter where we live now.
