Mari's Story
After high school, I took a year off from school and worked full time. I went to college for 2 semesters at Penn State Mont Alto. In December of '99, I left CVS, where I worked as a Pharmacy Tech., to go to Wal*Mart as an overnight cashier (I was still in college at the time). In Sept. '00, I got married.
In '01, I had my first child, a boy. Darion was such a good baby, I thought I might not have another. With a newborn at home, I went to dayshift at Wal*Mart, working four 10 hr. days so he only had to go to a babysitter 2 days a week. After ...Expand for more
one Christmas "on the front line", I went back to my roots and transfered to the pharmacy dept. After 6 months, I was promoted to Dept. Manager of the Pharmacy. In Sept. '04, I had a little girl named Jolee. My luck held and I was blessed with another good baby. In Feb. '07, I transfered to the Waynesboro Wal*Mart, still as the Pharmacy OTC manager. I am also a new associate sponsor, the personal sustainability store captain and in charge of planning fundraisers for Children's Miracle Network.
Between work and home, it is not hard to stay busy!
