Maria G's Story
Life
I am currently teaching elementary school. I'm hoping to get my masters within the next few years in education and then get a doctorate emphasising in urban youth, socialization and education. Sounds like a lot, but I hope to achieve this before too long. For those of you who plan to teach, good luck and have lots of fun. Little kids are great. They definitely have unconditional love for their teachers; that is if you show them the respect they deserve.
College
I went to Oxy and got my degree in English and Compa...Expand for more
ritive Literary Studies. While at Oxy, I lived in the Multicultural Hall and even was a Resident Advisor for a year. I was also in Dance Production as a choreographer, dancer and for three years, held an office in D.P. I also worked at the Student Activity Center and was the manager my last year at Oxy. All in all I made some great friends and learned a lot.
Workplace
I teach at Miles Ave Elementary School (my old elementary school). It's really fun but really stressful. I've met great people have made great friends.
