Maria's Story
Life
I left my a happy, boring life in the beach cities for an even happier--and less boring-- life behind the Orange Curtain.
School
I loved Mira Costa so much that I left after my junior year. No regrets.
Most inspiring teacher: Katharine Tiernan. She was a great teacher and a special person. I miss her.
College
I graduated from USC with Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Flute. Later on, I added 49 or so units of Business Administration at [somewhere a ...Expand for more

Workplace
I play and teach the flute. I'm on the faculty of El Camino College and Orange Coast College, I have a private flute studio, and I perform frequently as a soloist and chamber musician.
And to make sure that the other side of my brain doesn't shrivel up and die, I'm also an Enrolled Agent specializing in tax consultation and IRS representation for performing artists.
I love my work, but I am happiest just spending time with family and friends.
