After graduation day from CAHS in 1971, I started Slippery Rock State College as a Health and Physical Education Major. I graduated in June 1974, got married and earned a graduate assistantship at the University of South Florida. I graduated with a Masters degree in Phys. Ed. for the Handicapped in June 1975 and gave birth to my first son, Michael in August 1975. I lived in York, PA where I became an adjunct professor for Penn State, York campus. I left Penn State to find a permanent job with Allison Chalmers as a lab technician where I began my programming career. I was divorced and raised Michael as a single mother until I decided to move back home in 1980. I found a programming job aT Westinghouse in Penn Center, which was one of the nuclear technology departments. We tracked the work being done on the nuclear plants Westinghouse was building at the time. I went back to school at Pitt to take some computer science classes and Westinghouse sent me to classes outside of work. This is where I met my current husband, Peter. We married in 1983.
