Maribeth's Story

Life Born and raised in Braintree Mass. 1967. JM Foster Elementary school thru 4th grade (when it closed) then Noah Torrey for 5th grade. Went to South Jr (only 5 of us from Torrey went there 6th grade, in 7th Central closed). Braintree High Class of '85. I worked summers at Hammetts and at Burlington Coat Factory. After high school I went to North Adams State for a year and a half. After quitting school I went to work for Corporate Software. Quit there in 89 to go back to UMass Boston. Went to UMass for 2 years while I worked at Elihu White Nursing Home. In 91 moved to NC to live with my boyfriend (who I married that year.) In 92 left for basic training (see Military bio). Left the Army to have Jake my son. Divorced David and spent 5 years dating and being miserable. Went back to school in 96 and graduated with honors from LEAD. Met my husband Leo through a mutual friend. We married in 2001. I got a now 17 year old stepson, he got now 10 year old Jake. He is a wonderful man. I work for a great boss at a Window Company in Central Mass. Update: November '07 - I am working for the United Way and love it. Non-Profit can be very rewarding. I have also become very close to Paige from Noah Torrey. I had the privaledge of being one of her daughters godparents. My son, now 14 is going to the local technical school as has really blossomed!
