Marie's Story
I went to Kent State University in Ohio after graduating from Carrollton High Schoo. I dated and married my "college professor" Actually Stan was a teaching fellow. We only dated 3 months and have been married now for 40 years.
We ended up in New Bern, North Carolina. I worked as a counselor and Stan was the head of the Humanities Department at Craven Community College. I guess my high school friends always knew that I'd work in education. It was a wonderful career.
We retired to the Outer Banks, Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We have two wonderful children and 6 am...Expand for more

In 2007 we bought a couple condos in Hawaii which we use one of them when we are there [about 5 months a year].....the rest of the time we use them in home exchanges or rent them out as vacation rentals. We now spend our time with our grandchildren, traveling, and visiting my mother who is still in Ohio. Mom is 89 years old and still so alert and clearly the head of our family. We feel very blessed with our life
