Marie's Story
Life
I live in Irvine, which is not all that great but it's near work & I like my job. I teach Preschool...3 year olds. Dating a hot guy who hates Orange County as much as I do. Trying to get into Grad School. I do shows (acting & writing) in the area but hope to get out of here soon before I go crazy! Not missing San Diego at all. Hated grade school & the majority of the people I encountered there. I'm just trying to locate a few friends to see if they're still alive somewhere.
School
I thought that Grossmont sucked and 90% of the people there treated me like a disease so I really couldn't care less about their existence. I had a crush on Jeff Lyons, and I think there was a history teacher that was a good teacher. Most of the teachers sucked, especially that pervert Drama teacher who came onto all the girls. ere I told that creep to f%#k himself because I was sick of him coming onto me and the school administration busted me and he kept hitting on 15 year olds!
College
Mesa was pretty cool in most aspects, better that Grossmont College. The Drama Company at Mesa is terrific and I learned a lot there. I liked a lot of my teachers.
UCI had mostly bad acting classes for undergrads, but some pretty decent dramatic literature and theatre history courses.
I'm taking a few courses at OCC to get certified as a child care worker/nanny & doing spme acting there until I get into Grad school.
Workplace
I like my job. I get paid pretty well. I like having a flexible schedule, but I would rather be getting paid for doing something creative & artistic.
Military
I wouldn't join the military if it paid for college and got me a job after I left!
