marie's Story
Most may not remember me, i sometimes dont remember who I was at that time. I had alot of issues back then. Trying to fit in, not make waves, and just be accepted for who I was and not for who I was trying to be. High school was a tough time for me. My only solice in it all was cheerleading and dances at the Eagles nest! I got pregnant early in the 83 school year, so technically I did not get to graduate with my peers.
Today, I am happily married for 30 years now. (2017 Sept.) I have 4 wonderful boys, 4 beautiful granddaughters, two grandsons. I went back to school in 91 and received my GED and went on to college. I have finally found who I am. It took 20+ years to do so. I have finally b...Expand for more
ecome the woman I was trying to become. Happy within myself. Able to love and respect myself, so I can open up to love and respect others.
Just two more thoughts...I remember my best friend at that time was Malcom Tyes. He used to play the sax for me on the side of bulding every morning before school I sure do miss him.
And anyone that may have the 82-83 school year book, could you please post it? That was my main reason for joining this site. With the school fire in the library years ago, it was destroyed there, and the main library didnt' have one either. I am looking for a picture of the JV cheerleading squad. If you have it....thats me in the middle!
