Marijane's Story
Life
I retired from Riverside H.S. in 2000 and have been enjoying the freedom to pursue my own interests of travel, reading, volunteering on my own schedule. I enjoy hearing from former students and feel very fortunate that so many have kept in touch. My husband, Larry and I usually escape the cold NE Ohio winter for a couple of months and enjoy traveling south. Additionally we have had major trips to the Canadian Rockies, the western area of the US (Grand Canyon, etc)., and the southwest. If you have a child that attends Riverside, remember there is an Alumni Scholarship that they can apply for as a senior. I am on the committee and it's always fun to read about former students kids! My last major volunteer project was chairing my college reunion in June 2008, while it was a tremendous amount of work, it was very satisfying that it came off well and I really enjoyed having contact with my classmates. Now I am working on my high school reunion to help locate "missing" classmates--a real challenge!
