My Spouse
We met at a party shortly after starting SFA in 1971
My Pets
As always I have a wide selection of cats as well as a Daushound,three mutts, and my daughters three puppies. We own about 100 head of cattle and all three of my daughters show them. We also have three horses, a Guinea Pig,and a chinchilla. Just your normal everyday Zoo.
My Kids
My oldest daughter is now in College at Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge and is there on a scholarship. She graduated 3rd in her class in 2000, went to Australia summer 1999 with FFA,and in 2002 is on internship in Oregon in a wildlife park. nd is my payback child all the way. My youngest daughter was a cheerleader and will graduate in May. She wants to go to Tech next fall. She is the only on showing calves right now. Yep all girls!!!!
My Job
Until sept 2002, I was a teacher and still hope to return someday. But most recently I worked for a construction co. and still go in several hours a week to pay bills etc. I really miss teaching. We also have 4 chicken houses and I am called on a lot to help with the operation of them as well as with the cattle. As of Oct. 2004 I am working as the Book Manager for our local Hasting Entertainment Corp. I really love it because I get to play with books all day long.
