I moved to Vermont the end of our seventh grade year at Glen Head. I attended a one room schoolhouse for eigth grade. There were six eighth graders in the twenty five students of all ages. After our brand new wing in Glen Head it was a real experience to be in a "Little House On The Praire" situation. I found myself further along than the others and spent some time helping with the little ones. For high school I went to the oldest, private secondary school in in continuous operation in Vermont. There were twenty-five in my class there. At Dartmouth Hitchcock I studied medical technology and met my husband who was a Russian Civilization major at Dartmouth and we married on his graduation day. We lived in N.Y.C. where he studied Slavic Linguistics at Columbia and I worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital doing research for two well know pathologists. After that, it was time for active duty in the military since my husband had graduated as an Army officer. We lived briefly in Georgia, Baltimore, and spent a year living on the Seventeen mile drive in Carmel...Expand for more
