Marilyn's Story
Life
It's been 10 years since I've graduated from NLSS. I don't know where the time has gone..but it has gone by rather quickly. Which only means one thing...I'm getting older...lol!
Well, I've been married 10 years to a wonderful man. My husband and I share two beautiful children. Two boys, Tie and Jordan. They are our world.
I left MF back in 1998 to work out in Lac Seul with my hubby. We stayed there for a year and then decided it was time to go back to school and further our education. So our journey began by moving to Waskaganish to reinstate ourselves in the community to access funding.
From there our journey took us to Toronto for a year where we both attended college. I fell in love with this city. ...Expand for more
I would love to move back again someday.
We then moved to Brantford for two years. Again we attended college, Darrell in Oakville and myself in Hamilton.
Ottawa was our next destination. I attended Carleton University. I can't say it was the most exciting experience going to university but it helps in the end. And this is where our first born son Tie comes into the picture.
We lived in Ottawa for close to three years. We then decided to come home work for a bit but most importantly for Tie to build a relationship with his family in MF.
So Darrell and I both work full-time and we've just added another addition to our family, Jordan.
So life is grand. I'm home. But there are plans to leave in the future.
