Marilyn's Story
After high school graduation, I attended Vallejo Junior College for 2 years and then went away to Utah to attend college. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1969 with a degree in Elementary Education. After finishing college, I came home and got married to Ray Sowards, who also attended Vallejo High School. anta Rosa for our first year of marriage and then moved to Castro Valley while Ray was attending Cal State Hayward.
I taught for the first three years of our marriage before we started our family. We have six children---3 boys and 3 girls! They are great kids who are all doing really well. We raised our family in San Jose, CA.
