After highschool, I worked at Mario's on the Plaza, as a bus girl. Then I left for a couple of years, and decided that the Restaurant business was my calling...at that time. I worked as a dining room supervisor, and eventually worked into management. After working 60 to 70 hours a week for a couple of years. I discovered that you could make just as much as a manager makes and work far less. So I waitressed for a few years, and totally enjoyed catering to the public, I've always been a people person. There was a time I truly enjoyed the Restaurant business, but, when going to work seemed more like a job, I needed something else. While bartending nights at Mario's on Plaza, 1984, I became fast friends with Steve, a regular customer, who just happened to be the Supervisor over the trading floor for E. F. Hutton Brokerage Firm, with the Kansas City Board of Trade.
