Marilynn's Story
I'm a realtor/mortgage consultant still working out of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. I have lived and worked here since the mid 80's. After leaving school at a very early age I moved to Port Alberni, had 3 kids before I was 21 (the drinking age at that time), divorced, remarried to Mike Kennedy and moved to the Queen Charlottes (Port Clements) remained there for another 8 years and one more child, have been back on Vancouver Island since the late 70's, divorced for many years but have someone in my life. I have 4 grown children, and 11 grandchildren all except for one 2 year old they are pretty much grown up teens or young adults. as a fisherman, being on the water is in my blood so to speak. Some of my favorite things to do are sailing on the Brown Sugar II situated at G33 dock at Ladysmith Marina (if you are walking docks like I used to do stop in and say hello if I'm there or leave a note on the boat), I love our our little 8 lb Yorkie/MalteePoo "Rascal" she keeps us going. When I retire (freedom 75 - I don't plan on dying anytime soon) I want to do more travelling south in the winter, we spent a couple months in Palm Springs this past winter and loved it, rented a condo at the Palm Springs Villas II, reasonable and enjoyed the companionship of lots of other Canadians.
