Mario's Story

Mario R Maddox has served as the Director of Client Support Services since he joined Manhattan Associates in May 2000. His primary responsibilities include managing Customer Service functions, both the 24/7 call center and the support consultant groups.
Mario began his professional experience after graduation from the U. S. Naval Academy, in Annapolis, MD with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
His first duty station was aboard the USS CARL VINSON (CVN Â70), in Alameda, CA where he served as the Transportation Officer. While on board the aircraft carrier, he deployed twice and directed logistics throughout the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
After early selection to be a Department Director, Mario was also chosen for a full scholarship to attend the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, CA. There, Mario made the DeanÂs list and graduated with a MasterÂs degree in Management.

From there, Mario reported to the USS KIRK, in Long Beach, CA, as the Director of Operation and Training. Next, he deployed to the Persian Gulf as a part of Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch. Later, as the USS KIRK was being decommissioned, Mario served as Logistic Safety Officer at Commander Destroyer Squadron NINE. Lastly, Mario took a much awaited shore tour of duty at Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO in VA Beach, VA. For two years he served with the Seabees (Civil Engineers) as the Logistics and Warehouse director and participated in two major logistic operations in Puerto Rico and Panama.
MarioÂs military decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, BattleÂEÂ Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3), and various unit and service awards.
Mario joined the civilian community working for 3 years at Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. and 4 years at Manhattan Associates, Inc.
