Mark's Story
Life
I was born, I grew up (to a point), I went to school, I graduated, I went to college (for awhile), I went to work, and I am still there. 31 years at essentially the same company, 30 years with the same woman, still live within 5 miles of the house I grew up in (now in Potsdam). I guess I'm in a rut... Kids are both grown, one still at home, other works at the same company I do. Both are Milton-Union grads. We have one dog, a Yorkie (Hope), who is more spoiled rotten than my kids. Spend a couple of weeks every year living on the beach in Florida, practicing up for retirement. I'm ready to retire, only thing holding me back is mass quantities of money. I now run a technical robotics school in West Carrollton. My main job is making sure everyone else works so I don't have to. That is very stressful... I sing and play part time in several loc...Expand for more
al bands, playing mandolin and guitar, and doing old rock, country, and even bluegrass. I camp a lot at Indian Lake State Park and fish and canoe there when I feel like it.
School
I spent a lot of time in High School with Jim Hoover and Bobby Ward. We weren't sudying...
College
Went to Eastern Kentucky one week after H.S. graduation, until I ran out of money in Jan. 1972. Hitched to Florida, then came back to get a job. Spent way too much time partying and chasing girls, just like high school. Oh well, you can't do it over...
Workplace
I worked at Scranton's part time after high school, then construction. Owned a painting and remodeling company, then got a job at Hobart Brothers. Worked there for many years, mostly in research and development, until our group split-off as MOTOMAN Inc., where I still work as a Technical Sales Coordinator.
