Mark's Story
Not much to say. Was young, now not so much. Been living down in South Carolina for bout 27 years now. Been married to the same beautiful woman for going on 27 years. Found a good one and kept her. I have two daughters, a Grandson who's gonna be 6 in May and a Granddaughter who's gonna be 4 in June. Never knew how much fun "Crumb Snatchers" could be. They really give me a run for my money. They make me happy and that's all that counts.
Took up Painting and Remodeling houses. Have always worked with my hands. After that I took up Truck Driving; pretty much been all across the country from east to west and north to south. The only states I haven't driven are Hi. and Alaska, although lived on Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage for 22 months when I was younger. Lived on the coast of NC a few years in a place called Shalotte. 'Bout 30 or 40 miles north of Myrtle Beach,SC. Had some great times there. We moved back to Kershaw (Flat Creek) SC, where we had lived, before moving to the beach and let the girls finish High School with their old friends. Got me 10 acres of land, a fine Golden Retriever called "Hairy The Dog" and a cat we call "Miss Kitty".
Back in '94 I shattered two disks in my neck. Worked for three weeks not knowing why I couldn't feel my hands, also br...Expand for more
oke left wrist at the same time but did not find that out til six months later. But the Docs were pretty good at putting me back together again so I'm still kickin ass and takin names. LOL. In 2000 was diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease in my lower back and the Docs worked their magic again, but it is a progressive disease, so now 12 years later, it's kicking my ass again. Don't really want to go through another surgery. They are a real pain in the backside.LOL. So Im slightly down but nowhere near out. As long as the pain killers keep doing their stuff; I'll keep on keepin on.
Any one who wants to can catch up with markaivaz at facebook or yahoo or once in a while hairythedog on twitter. I do miss NY and go up there from time to time to see my Dad. Always loved the good 'ol Hudson Valley area. Was such a beautiful place to grow up. Always loved living in Quiet Acres and the planes from the Dutchess County Airport using Helen Drive as a glide path to the end of the runway. And fishing the Wappingers Creek. I could still go there and know where the fish are. Not too many places I didn't fish from the river to Red Oaks Mill. Wow this really takes me back.
All I can say now is : Peace, Love and Aerosmith Y'all !!!
