Mark's Story
Life
Still in Visalia, CA, I've taught in nearby Woodlake for 34 years. Now teaching general music and choir at St. Paul's School in Visalia. I've been playing drums in the Visalia-based band, "Run4Cover" for the last 27 years. Previously played with "Thin Ice," the predecessor band to "Run4Cover." In the years between these two bands, I was singing and acting with my wife, Marla. She is a very talented performer. I directed community theater productions for 5 years, including productions of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"...Expand for more
and "Once Upon A Mattress." I've served as a member and Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the "Friends of the Fox," the group that restored and now operates the Visalia Fox Theater. My wife, Marla and I have seven kids between the two of us, two for her and five for me. Hers live in England, so we visit annually. She has four grandchildren there. Mine are still in Visalia and in Ohio and Arizona, working their way through school and careers as they raise their little families. I have 12 grandchildren. So that's 16 between us!
