Mark's Story

Life I never quite made it to the mission field like I was just so sure I would back in high school. Fresh out of college, I was hired as an "editorial and administrative assistant" by The Editorial Department, Inc., one of the country's first "book doctoring" companies and still one of the most respected. Since 1991, I've been a developmental book editor, executive editor and associate publisher for a couple years, then went freelance for the last six years as an editor, designer, and ghostwriter, and have recently landed with a film production company as their executive story editor. I wrote one feature-film script for them, an action/war script, worked a bit on a TV series (s...Expand for more
till in development), and then re-wrote a script they already had, eventually re-writing about 60-70% of it, including a whole new story line. It was produced in summer of 2007 and should be released sometime in 2008. Since then, I've found that even little production companies can have, well, "issues." So I've moved on and am involved with re-writing yet another screenplay, developing a TV series, and might be involved as a producer in a feature to be shot in and around Vancouver (WA). I've been horrible about networking and keeping in touch so if you're here, drop me a line to say hi. You can visit my MySpace page (profile #126914982) or e-mail my "creatingpeople" at gmail.com.
