Mark's Story
Director of Regional Planning Commission in Rutland, VT. Two sons, five grandchildren. Likes relaxing on the deck, reading books, walking up the road, and going to work.
Was selected as the Professional Planner of the Year [2005] by the Vermont Planners Association and also the New England Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Has lived in Danby, VT [pop. 1,100 plus or minus] for the last 39 years adding periodically to his house as his children leave - does that make sense?
My older son Tycen has retired after 21 years in the service and seven tours in the mid-east - most in Iraq. His wife is in HR with Honeywell....Expand for more
He lives in VA and has two daughters. One has made him a grandpa; which makes me a great-grandpa. He recently received the Legion of Merit - not commontly given to non-commissioned officers and the seventh highest award the Army can give.
Younger son Jorden lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two boys [aged 24 months and five months] where he is an artist and a stay-at-home-dad. His wife is a hospitalist.
Both families are looking to re-locate to Vermont in the near future.
I have been diagnosed with myelofibrosis and am dealing with that and facing the possibility of a bone marrow transplant in the near future.
