Bemidji Senior HS, Minnesota
Pisgah Academy, North Carolina
Collegedale Academy, Tennessee
Work History
I have been an emergency physician now for about 15 years. I am currently board certified in both emergency medicine & family medicine. I am licensed to practice medicine in AZ, CA, MN, ND, NM, OH, & WA. I now own a physician staffing company called "Coast to Coast Health Care Services". We focus on staffing rural hospitals mostly in the western US at present.
Prior to entering medical school I had a five year career with Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in pharmaceutical sales.
My educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University, a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville , and a Ma...Expand for more
sters Degree in Business Administration from Regis University in Denver Colorado. I also attended law school during 1984-85 at the George C. Taylor College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. (I plan to enter law school again this fall of 2009 via the University of London (UK) online program.)
As a consequence of the above work and educational background I also frequently do consulting work in both the medical and legal fields.
Military History
I have now served in the United States Air Force Reserve for about 15 years. During my USAF career I completed the USAF Aerospace Medicine Primary (flight surgeon) course, USAF Critical Care Air Transport Course, (CCATT) and the US Army's Combat Casualty Care Course. I also now serve as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor.
While in the USAF I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB with the 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron (ASTS). While in the ASTS I served as Medical Intelligence Officer, Aerospace Medicine Officer, and Squadron Flight Surgeon. I completed two CCATT missions to Baghdad in late 2003 and early 2004.
