Mark's Story
After high school I went to Algonquin where I took Radio & Television Broadcasting. I met some nice people there but from what I saw of the industry I didn't want to be in it.
Went on to work in retail clothing and decided I really loved electronics so I joined the Canadian Forces and got my electronics training.
I met and married my next door neighbour when I got posted back to Ottawa. She didn't want to travel and found a job posting for the same work I was doing at Transport Canada. A new job came up in the Flight Inspection department which is where I still am 20 years later. We were spun off by the liberals in 1996 to Nav Canada. The job is a lot of travel at least half the year but I do get to see all of Canada.
I am divorced with 2 girls, Emily and Olivia..

d bought a 1965 Mustang. I restored it last year. This year we needed a second summer car and I lucked into a 2005 Mustang. It turns out it is 1 of 673 made in 2005.
Just got a transfer to Kelowna, BC. Turns out Bob Charron lives there. Also been in contact with Jim Neville and Norma Lapointe.
I'm about to retire at the end of October. Decided to run for city council. Should be an interesting month and a half.
So I did retire and I am loving it. Just over a year now.
My run for City Council wasn't successful but as a friend told me ( I placed 15 out of 21) was for a first time I didn't come last and I didn't come 9th. There are 8 seats on council.
Well the Kelowna episode is done and I'm now back in the Ottawa area for good.
As of July 18th 2024 I own a house in Chesterville, ON. On to new adventures!
