Mark William's Story

The Early Years My youth was spent running the creeks and fields of my holy ground, German Township. In the shadow of St Mary's, everybody's land and garden were mine. Blessed with great buddies, several guardian angles, tolerant neighbors, parents, and officers of the law, I survived. The Motown Years Prohibited from attending the public high school, I had no choice but Kolb Memorial. Due to fortunate encounters with very good mates and teachers, these years motivated me and pointed my compass in the direction my life was meant to take. While High School started out mostly social and recreational, some learning occurred amidst the chaos. St Vincent 4-years of cognitive and emotional stimulation provided me with the confidence and direction for life's journey. Again, solid relationships and great teachers made these 4-years extremely memorable. Conscription presented itself my senior year but because of my non-violent beliefs, and an understanding Draft Board, I was able to earn a draft exemption, thus avoiding the horrendous cultural violence of Viet Nam. Almost Heaven West Virgina West Virgina University Graduate school of Social Work was were I found my calling and my life partner. Human service work has made me more human. The Summer and Fall of My Life After 10-years of doing whatever couples without kids do, we created our first miracle, Molly. 2-years later another miracle, Annie, arrived. The next two decades revolved around their nurturing, and pursuing various out...Expand for more
side interests as time permitted. The Last Phase Now I spend most of my time at a job that I love and work with people that get a kick out of working with me. I continue to be curious about the why and wherefore of things. My gifted girls are working women beginning their careers and developing individual styles. I've been fortunate to be born into the Culleton/Donovan Irish-family and raised in a SlovaK coal community culture. Being supported by my people, pals and a still erect posture have allowed me to stay young at heart, work in and out of doors and have time for a little shenanigans. Today I advocate for progressive reforms. I dream for a better day for those not as fortunate. I'll always cherish my early process and those who professed and processed along side. The Future Not sure about the great mystery. Science may someday get closer to understanding it. Until then, I'll continue trying to do right when right needs done, not take things to seriously and always where clean underwear. With a little luck, I'll continue being and take shelter from the storms. Life has been good and "I've found what I'm looking for." "All I want is a roof over my head All I want is a steady job All I want to do is say I love you With every penny I've got And all I think about are those of my name To give them some kind of chance in life..." Lyrics from Ravenscraig-RunRig My name is Mark William Culleton. I'm from Leckrone, and I drive a Honda. You're welcome to friend me on Facebook.
