Life
My Spouse
I officially met Kathy on a blind date during the summer of 1966, but I had seen her at a grade school basketball game and asked another person to get me a blind date with her. It's a long story that Marvin Tischhauser and Alice Jean Blythe (White City) might remember.
Kathy is a teacher at Olathe East High School, teaching History and Leadership Studies. She is a great teacher, and is enjoying helping develop the new Leadership Studies Program.
My Pets
Our family currently has no pets. We're not home enough to have them.
My Kids
Kristin is a kindergarten teacher in Olathe. She is a wonderful young woman, dedicated to teaching children and making a difference one child at a time.
Jonathan is married and is an air traffic controller at Kansas City Center just like his Dad was. He attended Kansas State University before selecting the FAA as his employer. ...Expand for more
His wife, Brenna, was a childhood friend/sweetheart, and a graduate of William Jewell. They live in Shawnee, Ks. They are very fine people and influence many around them. They have 2 wonderful daughters, Peyton and Lydia.
Benjamin is an air traffic controller as well. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Julie. He is a fine young man that also attended Kansas State University, and he and Julie just built a great house north of Paola. They have a wonderful daughter, Katelin. Julie is a teacher in Spring Hill, and is working 1/2 time in order to take care of Katelin. They are all doing very well.
Kathy and I are very proud of all three of our children and our 3 Grand Girls!!
My Job
I retired from the FAA as an Air Space, Procedures, and Military Ops Manager. I am currently working as a contractor back in the same building, training new air traffic controllers.
