Some years ago I read about a tabloid journalist, enraged that he hadn't been paid.  He braced the editor in his office and attacked him with his own Doomsday Meteor, which the editor had been using as a doorstop.

Strange the things you remember.  Many years ago I did an MBA-intern thing at the Bank of America in San Francisco.  A floor down from my room in the residential hotel where I was staying I heard a band practicing:

I just read an obit of Doris Day in the New York Times.  She sounds adorable. The obit didn't say anything about her 4th husband, but the first 3 sound like awful jerks. Too bad. She deserved better.
