Mark's Story
I was married in 1969 to my soulmate, the former Susan Cohen of Clifton and we have been married for almost 55 years. I moved to Southern California in 1982. I have had my own management consulting firm for over 30 years providing information technology and operational guidance to large corporations. I often get to the east coast on business. For the last few years, I have been brokering merger and acquisition deals for privately held companies. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren, the oldest of which is a junior in college at Arizona State University.
Susan and I have three kids. Jennifer, 49, was married to Rich Hunt in 1999. She is a 3rd grade teacher. They live nearby in Burbank, CA. Jennifer gave birth to our first grandchild, Bobby, in 2004 and our second, Allison, in 2006. Our son, Jonathan, is 47. and is now a senior board-certified pain management specialist with the Brain & Spine Institute of the Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, CA, specializing in interventional pain management. ly 2010 at Lake Como, Italy. It was a fantastic setting for a wedding. Alison gave birth to our 3rd grandchild, Madison, in October 2011, our 4th, London, in January 2013 and our 5th, Vail, in May 2015, to add to our growing collection of grandchildren. Our youngest, Jaclyn, is 42 and graduated from USC Law School in May 2004. She was the overall runner-up (2nd out of 204) in the school's moot court competition and is currently a Deputy Attorney General, with the California Department of Justice. Jaclyn passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt! We are very proud of all of our children.
My wife, Susan has a pastries business, specializing in fantastic baked goods for people with food sensitivities, such as dairy and nuts. In addition to my consulting business, I am also working with privately held companies as a mergers & acquisitions broker.
In July 2019, we took all of our kids and grandkids to the “Big Island” of Hawaii to celebrate our 50th anniversary, renewing our vows at Buddha Point, overlooking the Pacific.
