Mark's Story
I went to work right out of THS. The police department in Tustin dangled a job offer in front of me and I jumped on it. I have been with the department since 1980 and if all goes according to plans, I will retire on my 50th birthday in 2011. I have had a blast in Tustin, I spent 12 years on a motorcycle (and got paid for it), and I am currently a sergeant supervising in the patrol division.
I am happily married to my wife, Genie. We have two boys (as of year end 2008 they ...Expand for more
are 10 and 6)Riley & James. They keep me busy with coaching little league and basketball.
Outside of work and family, I keep busy with a teaching gig for a consulting firm working with the commercial trucking industry. My family and I also are active with our church.
Tops for 2008: In March I led a small group of law enforcement officers to Rwanda where we spent two weeks training their National Police Department. It was an awesome experience and I hope to return in 2011.
