Mark's Story
Hi,
Left Wheaterville for 1st year of college at Laramie (majored in partying), my parents moved to California so I took a summer job with my dads company building a very large power plant high up in the Sierras.
Worked for 18 months then went back to college at Cal State Fresno, also went back to work for my dad's company building oil modules for the North Slope. I then went to work at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant for a year and a half, then went to build a nuclear powerplant in Ill (boy was it cold and night shift really stunk) quit there and moved to Oregon to build more oil modules for the North Slope for a couple of years (this is where I met my wife Linda) we got married in San Luis Obispo, CA (more time back at the Nuc plant) then went to LA to build another power station (after 9 mos) moved to the California Oregon border and lived in Brookings for a year and a half (building a prison), then we went to live in the California desert +130+ degrees in the summer (heat was brutal)>

onths then on to Tampa Florida, ended up in Louisana building a chemical plant, then moved to Boston for 6 months, then left the country to build a very large refinery and chemical facility in Singapore (lived there for almost four years), back to Boston for a few months and then we were transferred to Houston in 1994. We had our house built and have been in it ever since. I now work for a very large oil company in the group that develops oil and gas fields by building energy facilities all over the world.
We have traveled most of the globe, covered all of Asia except for China (did Austrailia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand). I've been to 48 states (still need to go to the Islands and ALaska). Have also been to Norway, England, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, and even Doha in the Middle East.
Our only child (a girl) was born in 1999 and is our precious baby. We have two golden retreivers.
In 2006 I was in a freak elevator accident and sustained permanent crippling injuries.
Every now and then I get the chane to visit Wheatland and see how it has changed over the years.
