Mark's Story
SHIPMATES!!! GREETINGS!!! I've been thinking of registering with Classmates for sometime and I finally got around to it. I see a lot of names that I recognize from the old "Tiltin' T" in the 74 to 80 timeframe. You know who you are if you remember how she got that name. Seems like forever ago... and yesterday. Do you remember Flailin' Whelen? ("Where's my rudder!) Mr Sudkamp? Obie Wan Ken Embry? Mr. Thomas? ("Maneuvering area watchstanders...return to Maneuvering.") Anyone remember the infamous CD-4 flush incident. C'mon Gregg Pederson (cub ELT)! You know you can't trust Sam Richardson!! I have good memories of serving with you guys, 25 years hence that is. Hope you are all well and happy.

roton. I went to school after the NAV and completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I used to work for Nuclear Support Services (NSS) as an HP tech at Connecticut Yankee during the summer and over the holidays, which along with the GI Bill allowed me to go to school full time. I worked for our former lead ELT John Molner, who got me in at NSS. Thanks John!! The financial climate at the time sort of pushed me toward EB so I still get my fill of subs. I watched the Tinosa leave New London for the final time when she headed off for de-comissioning and scrap and I have to admit I was sad to see her go. That's about it for now guys.
