Life
Hi Guys,
Worked at Fords, Wixom for 3 months 1974 after quiting school, 12/7 and never saw the sun and realized it wasn't for me. Joined the Navy in Jan 1975 as a Diesel mechanic. Went to Virginia, Florida, Washington state, Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Phillipines, Taiwan, Africa, Israel, Jerusulem, Egypt.
There is no where else I have been that the stars look so lovely as from the deck of a dark ship in the middle of the ocean.
Being away from home is why, I was able to stay married 17 years, 1979/1997, now divorced. Raised 2 kids, 1 each, 9 Grandchildren, 5 I have seen. Retired from Navy in Mar. 1998, moved back to Mi. Worked, Diesel Mech, Technical Writer and rode a 1986 Harley Dresser. Tired of the cold and took...Expand for more
a job in the Marshall Islands for 2 years then Maui, Hi and then Northern Ca. which was way to weird for me to deal so left and now in Alaska, still Diesel generators but in charge and trying to pass it on.
Those of you that have any long term memory left, might remember me "back then", if it was fun I was doing it, life is the most important gift we are given and I am going to live it.
Hair a little shorter/thinner, glasses, same height/weight though, tall/thin. Having way too much fun....In high school I didn't want to be there much, now I am trying to find out what I missed :-)
Regrets - only one - not asking out those special girls I met in school ;-)
If only we would have..........That's why they call them memories.
