Mark's Story
My family and I are Jehovah's Witnesses (no, seriously). When I was in high school I was an atheist. I studied various religions and decided that the JWs have it right. I met my wife, Tuyet, a few years later. She's an amazing Vietnamese lady. She thinks she's fortunate to have nabbed me, but we all know it is the other way around! I married into 2 kids - they are now (2014) 25 and 21. We have a third now (about 3 months old)! What?!
I've always been one to want to keep in touch with friends and see how everyone changes and hopefully grows, but not everyone feels the same way back.
I've had a busy life so far filled with adventure ... and I'm planning on trying Amtrak this summer. I highly recommend Yosemite if you haven't been yet ... G...Expand for more
o all the way to the top of Vernal Falls - it's worth the hike. I work for the State (Texas) as a Systems Analyst - Oracle, Websphere, whatever needs doing.
Regrets, well, I wish I had treated everyone better along the way. I usually always mean well. But ... I keep trying to work on the personality, but it's a big job.
Take care ... and oh, try a Bible study with the Witnesses. We are not about money, don't go to war, and don't believe in hell. It's a great discussion and learning experience whether you convert or just want to learn something new. JW.org just keeps getting better, I hope you'll check it out. I'm open to discussion on any topic but religion and the Bible in particular are now my favorite! What a change! Take care all! :)
