Mark's Story
Life
I remarried in Sept, 1999. My wifes name is Marie Moore(Stowe) and between us we have three children. The oldest two are from her first marriage-Emily Rabecka, 23 yrs, and Travis Lee, 19 yrs old. I have one child from a previous marriage, Katrina June, 15 yrs old. We live in the big town of Lake where, until recently, I was chief of the volunteer fire department. Due to a severe accident I had in Jan. of 2006, I was forced to step down from the department. ital bone in five places, My left hip, broke my left femur in seven places, one of which was a compound fx. I also crushed my left knee cap and had a compound fx to my right wrist and two other breaks to the same area. I did all of this after falling 26 ft. from scaffolding while on the job. I am a bricklayer/stone mason and was working on Midland High School at the time of the accident. I was flown down to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak where I had excellent surgeons and care. Marie works at a little factory in Clare and things are slowly but surely returning to normal.
