Mark's Story
Life
Crikey!! And sufferin' succotash!! Well, it's been a long and winding road. As some of you may know...or perhaps not....Brad Cady and I enlisted with Uncle Sam'a Misguided Children on the "buddy system" immediately after our Trojan experience. Within six months we were romping and frolicking in the rice paddies. Upon returning from that delightful little sojourn, they converted me into an MP at CINCLANT (the headqyarters for the Atlantic fleet) near Norfolk. They then attempted to bribe me to stay in but; it was a tad too regimented for my taste buds.
Back in the real world I worked and became somewhat of an expert party animal....looked like it was the stuff of a brilliant career. But I came to my senses at some point, and ran away from home to get educated in Arizona. Onward to the U. Of Buffalo for grad school, and ultimately became one of the zombies in the work force....you know, the stuff dreams are made of.
I've ...Expand for more
been retired since November of '97....came full circle, and bought a house back here. My major current priority is getting my daughter through her final year of HS, and off to college. But I secretly am wotking on a project in the basement, the antidote for old age.....whipping up all kinds of concoctions in the sink....mostly involving mercury and belladonna. Have also come to the conclusion that the Chadakoin is the true "fountain of youth"....so I've been guzzling heartily from her murky depths...will probably have the thing drained before too much longer. Yep, I'll probably have to live forever, not unlike some rabid creature from an Anne Rice novel. The movie version will soon be out on DVD, "The Creature From The Chadakoin Lagoon". If any of you old folks out there can keep your hands steady enough to type, I'd happily respond with these youthful fingers. misaacs1 at stny dot rr dot com (for those of you who like puzzles).
