Mark Jernigan:  

Workplace Joined the Marine Corps in 1974, and was in the communications field, Radio, Teletype, Crypto. Got out in 1977 Worked for a short time for JC Penny's, back in the day when they still had a sporting good's dept. Then I went into the Photo Copier repair business, managed several local companies’ service departments and finally started one of my own. I sold that business during a divorce, and left that field completely. I then went to work for Montgomery Wards Service department until they filed for bankruptcy, and then went on to work for Sears Service department. I re-married and my wife’s employer Arc Ark asked me to work part time for them supervising their apartment building. And this is where I am now supervising 6 complexes in Arkansas and two more set to come on line in the next two years. These apartments are designed for people with disabilities and they are a true joy to work with. The Arc takes old historic buildings and refurbishes them into apartments; so far we have renovated two old hospital buildings, one in Little Rock and one in Morrilton, Ark. And three school buildings two in Little Rock and one in Hot Springs, Ark. The one in Hot Springs is where Bill Clinton graduated from high school.
